Arti: Rewriting Tor in Rust

This presentation was focused on The Tor Project’s effort to implement a from-scratch implementation of the Tor protocol in Rust called Arti. The presentation went over the various historical events that led to the decisions that brought us to where we are today. Arti is now a key focus within the organization, multiple teams are investigating using Rust for their software development needs, and we are working with external parties on adoption of Arti to provide anonymity and later anti-censorship for their applications.
